Gender Equality Plan (GEP)
Zeitgeist Intelligence Market Technologies (ZIMT) is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace. This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) formalizes our strategy to promote gender equality across our operations in Europe and globally. It serves as a mandatory eligibility document for participation in European framework programmes.
1. Mandatory Process Requirements
In accordance with the European Commission’s requirements for research organizations and public bodies, ZIMT certifies that the following building blocks are in place:
1. Publication
This document is formally published on the ZIMT corporate website and endorsed by the top management.
2. Dedicated Resources
A dedicated Gender Equality Officer (GEO) has been appointed, backed by a specific annual budget for training and implementation.
3. Data Collection
We collect sex/gender-disaggregated data on personnel (recruitment, retention, and roles) and publish an annual internal monitoring report.
4. Training
Mandatory training on unconscious bias and gender equality is conducted for all staff and leadership.
2. Objectives & Thematic Areas
Area 1: Work-Life Balance & Organizational Culture
Objective: Ensure our remote-first culture supports caregiving responsibilities equitably.
Measure: Implementation of "Asynchronous by Default" work policies to allow flexible hours for parents and caregivers.
Target: 100% retention rate of employees returning from parental leave (maternity/paternity).
Area 2: Gender Balance in Leadership
Status: ZIMT has successfully achieved gender parity in its leadership structure. Objective: Maintain our current gender balance as the company scales.
Measure: Succession planning for management roles must always include candidates from underrepresented genders to preserve existing equity.
Target: Sustain 50% female representation in leadership positions.
Area 3: Gender Equality in Recruitment
Status: Current recruitment strategies have resulted in a gender-balanced workforce. Objective: Eliminate systemic bias to preserve this equity during future expansion.
Measure: Use of anonymisation processes to de-bias hiring process and standardize interview scorecards.
Target: Maintain gender parity in interview shortlists for technical and leadership roles.
Area 4: Integration of the Gender Dimension into Research
Objective: Prevent analytical bias in Market Intelligence and AI products.
Measure: Review of all "Revenue Playbooks" and AI algorithms to ensure they do not perpetuate gender stereotypes or bias.
Area 5: Measures Against Gender-Based Violence
Objective: A zero-tolerance environment for harassment.
Measure: Establishment of a confidential, third-party reporting channel for grievances and a clear Anti-Harassment Policy in the Employee Handbook.
